Richburg - Gayle Ann Harvey- Manupella, born in Hornell, NY
on July 8th 1939, was a mother and widow. She died on the morning of February
4th, 2025, after a protracted, long and painful battle with multiple ailments
that had afflicted her for decades.
Gayle was well known for being stubbornly relentless
however, and she courageously pressed on, endured, and worked hard to be the
best person she knew how to be. She wanted nothing more in life than to love
and to be loved in return. She would show her love through her joy of sewing,
cooking, baking, decorating cakes, entertaining friends and family in her home,
and her hard work. Her cakes were presented to various heads of state and
dignitaries, including former U.S. president Ronald Reagan.
She follows the predeceased: Aurelius J. Manupella
(husband), Bernadine C. Landes- Harvey (mother), Charles E. Harvey (father),
Jack & Warren Harvey (brothers), and Marie Harvey- Olson (sister).
She left a fabulous legacy and is survived by all of her
children, by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great- great
grandsons. She was deeply fond of them all, and was well known for her
adoration and generosity toward them.
She is in a better place and now rests peacefully. Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker
Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 South Main Street, Bolivar, on
Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10-11:00 A.M. with a Funeral Service immediately
following. The Rev. Larry Allen, will
officiate.
Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath New York.
