Allegany Office of Planning Announces Updated Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Hume
Hume, NY – February 5, 2025 — The Allegany Office of Planning is proud to announce the adoption of the updated Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Hume, approved by the Town Board on January 8, 2025. This significant milestone marks the first update to the town’s Comprehensive Plan since its initial adoption in 2010.
The updated Comprehensive Plan serves as a strategic guide for the town’s growth and development over the next decade. It reflects the community’s current needs and aspirations while maintaining a focus on preserving the unique character and rural charm that define Hume. The plan addresses key areas such as economic development, land use, housing, transportation, environmental conservation, and recreational opportunities.
