Allegany County Sheriff’s Office makes Welfare Fraud arrest
Allegany County Sheriff Scott Cicirello reports that on February 24, 2025, Deputies arrested Tammy Dunn-Humphrey, 56, of Belfast. It is alleged that she committed a welfare fraud act when she allegedly used a NYS benefit card that did not belong to her to obtain goods at numerous locations totally $242.97. She was charged with petit larceny and welfare fraud, both misdemeanors. Dunn-Humphrey was issued an appearance ticket and released on her own recognizance to appear in Village of Belmont court at a later date. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Allegany County Department of Social Services.
