Location: Route 16 Hinsdale NY
Details of Incident: On February 19th, 2025, at approximately 2332 hours, Daniel S. Ackerman, 58, of Hinsdale NY, was taken into custody. Ackerman was subject to a traffic stop on Route 16 in the Town of Hinsdale for vehicle and traffic law violations. Ackerman was found to have an active full extradition warrant out of the US Marshals Service for Dangerous Drugs. Ackerman was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office for processing. Ackerman was issued a uniform traffic ticket for Operate a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration. Ackerman was transported to the Town of Ellicottville Court and arraigned due to his Fugitive from Justice status. Ackerman was then transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail where he was held with no bail pending extradition by the US Marshals Service.
