On February 21st, 2025, at approximately 9:00PM, following an investigation by the Cuba Police Department Narcotics Unit, Cuba Police arrested Nikie L. Burdick, 23, of Cuba, NY. Burdick was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd (Felony, 2 counts) and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th (Misdemeanor). Burdick was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail to await arraignment. Burdick is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These charges stem from Burdick allegedly being in possession of xylazine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine. The Narcotics Unit was assisted by patrol officers.
