Wellsville Police
acting on an Indictment Warrants issued by the Allegany County Court, arrested
Joseph A. Anderson, age 36 of Wellsville, charging him with 2 counts of
Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony) and 2
counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B
Felony). The charges stem from an
investigation into the illegal sale of drugs (Cocaine and/or Crack Cocaine) in
the Village of Wellsville in October of 2024 conducted by the Wellsville Police
Department Narcotics Unit. Anderson was
taken into custody at the Allegany County Jail by Sheriff’s Deputies and turned
over to Wellsville Police. Anderson was
processed and committed to the Allegany County Jail pending arraignment in
Allegany County Court.

Wellsville Police arrested Tara S. Howe, age 51 of Scio charging her with Issuing a Bad Check. The charge stems from an incident that took place at Giant Food Mart. Howe was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Howe is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on March 4th at 4:30 pm.
