Scranton/Hornell - Stewart “Skip” J. Sanford, 48, of 1602 Tall Trees Dr., passed away Monday evening (July 29, 2019).
Born in Rochester, N.Y., August 31, 1970, the son of Stewart Allen and Connie Sanford, he had resided in Scranton Pennsylvania for the past 4 years. Skip enjoyed hunting, gardening and working on cars. He was able to take apart anything and get it put back together. Through all of Skip’s trials in life he was still a good father to his children.
He is survived by his daughters; Lylah (Devin) Heim of Arkport and Leahann Sanford of Hornell, 4 sons; Anthony Wells of Messena, Jacob Sanford of Belmont, Milton Sanford of Hornell and Cameron Sanford of Hornell, his mom and stepdad; Connie and Jeff Freeland of Almond, his father; Stewart Allen of Rexville, 2 granddaughters; Kylee and Mercedes Bentley-Welles, 2 brothers; Michael Freeland of Almond and Brandon (Melissa) Mehlenbacher of Hornell, 3 sisters; Angela Allen of Texas, Alicia Miller of Almond and Nichole (Zach) VanSkiver of Arkport as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
