Obituary: Linda D. Conniff, 66, formerly of Princeton, N. J.,


Linda loved the simple things in life like sipping one of her many special teas . . .

Linda D. Conniff, 66, formerly of Princeton, N. J., passed away on Wednesday (Aug. 28, 2019) at the Hart Comfort House of Allegany County, following a brief illness.
Linda was born on May 3, 1953 in Princeton, N.J. to Harry W. and Shirley M. (Barlow) Missic, Sr. She was a 1971 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin Township, N.J. On Oct. 5, 1974, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Princeton, she married William J. Conniff, who survives.
Linda worked in N.J. as a Marketing Manager for Johnson & Johnson (Janssen Pharmaceutica) in New Brunswick from 1972 to 1984. She later was Executive Assistant for Special Olympics New Jersey in Lawrenceville, Executive Assistant for Training Management Group in Princeton, and Class Scheduler for Princeton Center for Yoga and Health.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by a son, Sean Conniff of Wellsville; two sisters, Tracey A. (Ernest) Parent of Champlain, N.Y and Sharon L. Missic of Princeton, N.J.; a nephew, Jason A. Parent of Champlain, N.Y.; her beloved dog Shiloh, and several cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harry W. Missic, Jr.
In her younger years, Linda was a Top Flight softball player and loved entertaining, sharing the warmth of her home with others.
Linda loved the simple things in life like sipping one of her many special teas or relaxing to the aroma of her essential oils. Linda had a knack for gardening and took great pride in showing off all of her plants. A few of her favorite pastimes were crocheting afghans to give to family and friends as gifts, reading John Saul books, and listening to Neil Diamond. She had a lifelong love for animals and treasured the company of her pets over the years. She and her family enjoyed their frequent trips to their cabin in Mansfield, PA.
Per her wishes, there will be no prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Wellsville.
