Rushford --John A. Nichols of 9717 County Line Road died
Thursday, August 22, 2019 in his home. He was born on January 19, 1955 in
Olean, a son of the late Leland and Margaret MacAulay Nichols. On August 16,
1980 in the Farmersville Center Community Church he married Cynthia Potter who
survives.
John was a graduate of Rushford Central School, class of
1974, and an employee of Mallards Dairy LLC.
He enjoyed cutting wood, raising pigs and beef cows,
planting potatoes, restoring old tractors, attending auctions and most of all
spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Bethany
Nichols of Dansville, Christopher (Janel) Nichols, Joshua (Jocelyn) Nichols
both of Rushford, Judith (Benjamin) McCauley of Pennsylvania, Rebecca (Mark)
Pruett of Arkansas, Elizabeth (Robert) Brundage of Perry, 16 grandchildren, his
siblings, Leland (Stephanie) Nichols, Donald “Dee” Nichols both of
Farmersville, Roger (Barb) Nichols of Rushford, Doug (Betty) Nichols, Robert
Nichols both of Farmersville, Gordon Nichols of Belfast, Linda Barrow of
Houghton, Norman (Diane) Nichols of Farmersville and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister,
Barbara Nichols.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the
Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore and from 10:00 a.m.
to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Farmersville Center Community
Church, 9038 Route 98, Franklinville, where a funeral service will follow at
11:00 a.m. Pastor Mack Bixby will officiate. Burial will be in Farmersville
Cemetery, Farmersville. Memorials if desired to: Peace Village Homeless
