Wellsville man charged with DWI near the time of serious crash

Within minutes of a crash on Helmhold Road in Wellsville that seriously injured three Wellsville-area residents Thursday morning, State Police arrested another man on the same crash road. Troopers report the arrest of Jacob F. Cornelius, 22, of Wellsville. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and having a blood alcohol content above .08%. Troopers said the arrest was not involved with the serious crash, but it was nearby and at about the same time as the crash. Cornelius was processed at the Amity barracks and released on court appearance tickets.
