Bruce E. Patterson, 64, of Pflugerville, TX, formerly of
Ulysses, PA and Cleveland, OH, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Austin, TX.
Born March 15, 1951, in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of Clair A. and Elva
Monroe Patterson. A graduate of Northern Potter High School, he spent three
decades in various positions in the airline industry. Aided by his career
choice, he had a lifelong love of traveling and exploring the world. Bruce also
had an avid interest in trains, which started as a child with a single Lionel
set. He collected model trains his whole life, and often combined his love of
trains with his love of travel by taking family train trips all over the world.
He enjoyed skiing, sailing, scuba diving, and the occasional round of golf. He
was a proud father and grandfather. Surviving are: a son, David H. (Elizabeth) Patterson of
Plainville, CT; two granddaughters, Hannah Patterson and Elinor Patterson;
former wife, Edna Patterson of Plainville, CT; sister-in-law, Janet M.
Patterson; a niece, Mary P. (Eric) Talerico; a nephew, Thomas M. Patterson; an
aunt, Florence Buckley of Ulysses; many cousins and friends. In addition to his
parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Rev. D. Gene Patterson, on April 20,
2013. Friends may gather at Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses
on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:00 to process to the Daniels Cemetery, Bingham
Township, near Ulysses, PA for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
