Man jailed after violent crime in Potter County

A Port Allegany man was jailed Sunday morning following his arrest by Pennsylvania State Police. Troopers took the man into custody after responding to a complaint in Roulette. Police arrested Zeb Alan Niles, age 38. He was charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor counts of assault and criminal mischief and the summary offense of harassment with physical contact. Arraigned in District court at 2:10 a.m. today, Niles was remanded to Potter County Jail. Bail was set at $25,000 A preliminary hearing is set for August 22nd at 12:30 p.m.
