Town of Wellsville considers selling Proctor Road property



PUBLIC NOTICE
TOWN OF WELLSVILLE NEW YORK
Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Wellsville, New York (the “Town”), Allegany County, New York, at a regular meeting thereof, held on March 8, 2017, duly adopted, subject to a permissive referendum, a resolution, an abstract of which is as follows:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY TO THE WINNING BIDDER, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM

WHEREAS, the Town acquired a 14.666+/- acres parcel of land in 2001 located between Proctor Road and County Road 30 (a.k.a. Trapping Brook Road) in said Town for the purpose of Town business, and
WHEREAS, it is no longer necessary for the Town to retain said subject premises for the purpose of Town business, and
WHEREAS, the Town has resolved to sell the subject premises to the Winning Bidder.  The Winning Bidder must submit their bid in a sealed envelope marked "(no number) Proctor Road, Wellsville, New York".  Bids will be accepted at the Wellsville Town Hall, 156 North Main Street, Wellsville, New York, 14895, starting March 20, 2017, through April 12, 2017, until 4:30PM, and all bids will be opened publicly at 6:45PM, following a Special Meeting of the Town Board of Wellsville to be held on April 12, 2017, at 6:30PM, at the Wellsville Town Hall.  The Town Board of the Town of Wellsville reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
WHEREAS, the subject premises are described as:  (no number) Proctor Road, Village and Town of Wellsville, New York, more particularly described as Allegany County Tax Map Nos. 239.7-1-100.1 and 239.-2-1.114, and being a parcel containing 14.666+/- acres of land as surveyed by James B. Ball, L.S. No. 49540, Job No. 3129R in February, 2017.  A copy of the above-referenced survey map is on file with the Town Clerk of the Town of Wellsville and may be viewed by any prospective bidders.  Proctor Road is to the North of the subject premises; Richard M. Kane is the owner of parcels of land to the East of the subject premises; County Road 30 (a.k.a Trapping Brook Road) is to the South of the subject premises; Brookhaven Limited Partnership, Seventh Day Adventist Church, Corporation of Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and J. Bradley Watson are owners of various parcels to the West of the subject premises, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wellsville, in regular session duly convened, does hereby authorize and direct the Town Supervisor of said Town to execute and deliver to said Winning Bidder the subject premises located at (no number) Proctor Road, Village and Town of Wellsville, New York, more particularly described as Allegany County Tax Map Nos. 239.7-1-100.1 and 239.-2-1.114, and being a parcel containing 14.666+/- acres of land as surveyed by James B. Ball, L.S. No. 49540, Job No. 3129R in February, 2017, subject to a permissive referendum as permitted by law.
