Beckie was a lifelong resident of the Belmont Area who
attended Belmont Central School and graduated from the Belmont Christian
Academy. She had worked as a nurse’s aide at the Wellsville Highland Park
Nursing Home and at the Houghton Nursing Home. Beckie was later employed at
Current Controls in Wellsville. She enjoyed quilting, making quilts for her
nieces and nephews, and entered her work at the Allegany County Fair. Beckie
had attended the First Baptist Church in Belmont and loved animals especially
her dogs.
Survivors include her husband Harvey of Belmont; her parents
Donald and JoAnn Marsh Brown of Belmont; 2 brothers, Philip [Annette] Brown of
Belmont, and Daniel [Kara Guenther] of Olean; several nieces and nephews; her
sister in law Ann Brown of Wellsville.
Beckie was predeceased by a brother, Steven Brown and a
nephew Donald S. Brown.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, March 31, 2017, from
12 noon to 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Belmont at which time a
funeral service will take place. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery and
memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Allegany County SPCA or
