Machias-based state police report that today at approximately 9:25 a.m., Troopers arrested James J. Jurbala, 49, of Bolivar, for Felony DWI, Felony Aggravated DWI and Unsafe Signal.Jurbala was stopped on Hughey Alley in the Village of Ellicottville for failing to signal turn. While interviewing Jurbala, the odor of alcoholic beverage was allegedly present. Troopers said standard field sobriety tests were administered and Jurbala failed. He was taken to SP Ellicottville for processing, where he recorded a .31% BAC.
Jurbala was arraigned in the Town of Ellicottville and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail. He is to reappear in the Village of Ellicottville court in April 2017.
