The Greater Rochester Coalition for Immigration Justice tells us a Guatemalan family was taken into custody Thursday evening.
Overnight, protesters moved to a Border Patrol station in Irondequoit on Pattonwood Drive to oppose the arrest. Police and State Police surrounded a man after he threw something at an officer. Until that moment, the protest had been relatively peaceful.
According to the protesters, the family was turned over to customs officials in Irondequoit. One adult and five children were released. A mom and a 12-year-old were taken to be processed in Buffalo. We're told they are siblings. Click the link for more from WHEC-TV...
