Acoustic Open Mic Night
The Palmer Opera House is hosting our monthly Acoustic Open Mic Night. Open to anyone wanting to come down and play acoustic musical offerings (all live music, no singing along with a track). Doors open at 5:30 PM for performer sign-up, and performances run until around 10 PM. The Perfect Blend Coffeehouse & Eatery will be open until 8 PM during our show and will deliver your food orders up to the Opera House. Jolly Roger (Roger Pettengill)
Enjoy an afternoon of patriotic songs, love songs and just plain songs you can sing along with- All with a little humor mixed in to make you smile!! Roger Pettengill (aka Jolly Roger) will play guitar and harmonica and sing songs that will cover many generations. This lover of singer songwriter style of music will be performing songs from Gordon Lightfoot, Arlo Guthrie, John Mellencamp, Cat Stevens, Brooks and Dunn, Peter Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan and many more along with video presentations in the background. Fun for the whole family. Admission is by donation, and refreshments will be available. Donations to benefit the ongoing maintenance and improvements at the Palmer Opera House. The Palmer Presents: Alex Leyva. Hometown favorite Alex Leyva is no stranger to The Palmer's stage, he's performed here for several of our community showcase shows as well as open mic night.
Alex plays many styles of music including jazz, classical, reggae, rock, pop, singer songwriter and folk. His current style is a mixture of all of these influences. Some of his major influences are Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, and Martin Sexton. You may have had the pleasure of seeing Alex playing out locally as well, but here is your chance to come see him play his own show at The Palmer! Admission by donation. Beach Party: A Tropical Musical Celebration
The Palmer Opera House presents Beach Party! Grab your flip flops and sunglasses, and join us for a celebration of beach party music!! Many local talented performers will entertain you in a debut theme here at The Palmer. Join us for the type of music that will transport your mind to a warm beach with ocean waves lapping at the shoreline. Admission is by donation, and refreshments will be available.
