PCEC Announces Annual
Potter County Career/Job Expo on April 20, 2017 for local high school juniors
and seniors at the Northern Potter Field House
Local and regional businesses, industries and
employers—small and large—are invited to meet with local juniors and seniors
concerning the variety of local careers and job opportunities that are
available to our youth in the region.
You need not have current job openings to participate, just a
willingness to help educate youth in potential local careers.
This event will be held at the Northern Potter Field House
on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. Set-up time will be from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00
a.m. There is no cost for employer
participation, but we would ask that you pre-register with Janine Morley at the
Education Council at 814-274-4877 by April 12, 2017.
This opportunity is sponsored by the PCEC Business Connect
Program, Local Career Vocational Mentor Aides and funds provided by Potter
County Commissioners and Potter County Human Services.
This activity is part of an ongoing initiative in our local
schools to help each senior graduate from high school with a definite, written
plan for their future vocational direction, whether it involves additional
education or a direct path to the workforce.
It is extremely important that our students have accurate
up-to-date information from employers to make sound vocational decisions and
you can be an important part of that process.
Please join us on April 20th.
