New York State Police Blotter
7/2/24 3:15 p.m.- After investigating a domestic
dispute in the Town of Hume, state police arrested Adam J. Cox, 35, of Nunda.
He was charged with felony first-degree criminal contempt with a weapon, felony
aggravated family offense, menacing with a weapon, criminal mischief and
criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use. He was arraigned and
remanded to the Allegany County Jail on no bail.
7/2/24 6:53 p.m.- State Police arrested Wayne P.
Wawrzyniec, 61, of Clarksville. He was charged with criminal mischief for allegedly
intentionally damaging property. Court action is pending.
7/2/24 12:14 p.m.- On June 1st, state
police were called to a sexual assault in the village of Almond. Later,
Troopers from Amity arrested Nicholas C. Baker, 24, of Hornell. He was charged
with felony rape of a victim under the age of 15, two felony counts of criminal
sexual act involving a victim less than age 15 and three counts child
endangerment. He was initially held in custody, but the Allegany County Sheriff’s
Office said “he was released.”
7/2/24 8:01 p.m.- State Police arrested Jeffrey D.
Crowner, 28, of Wellsville during a traffic stop in the village. He was charged
with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
7/2/24 9:47 p.m.- State Police from Amity arrested
Jean M. Lorenz, 64, of Scio. The charges includes DWI and having a BAC above
.08%.
