Obituary: Christine M. Cavalletti, 78, Hornell

Hornell - Christine M. Cavalletti age 78 of Crosby Street, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Thursday (July 11, 2024) at Wellsville Manor Hills Assisted Living Home.

She was born in Hornell, NY on August 20, 1945 the daughter of Chester Cole and Louise Clark Cole. Christine was a graduate of Hornell High School and St James School of Nursing, and had worked for the Hornell City School District and St James Mercy Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert Cole, 4 sisters Margaret Hamilton-Clark, Elizabeth Hirt, Ann Kloss and Nancy Lewis.
She is survived by her husband August Cavalletti, her daughter Susan (Richard) Stephan of Rensselaer, NY, her 2 sons Phillip (Laura) Cavalletti of Canisteo, August “Gus” Cavalletti of Wellsville, her sister Susan (Robert) Cawley of Hornell, her brother Andris Cole of Pennsylvania, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present on Tuesday (July 16, 2024) from 4-6pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home with Funeral Services to follow at 6:00pm with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be at Bath National Cemetery.
