UR Medicine | Noyes Health to Expand Walk-In Care in Geneseo

UR Medicine | Noyes Health to Expand Walk-In Care in Geneseo

Re-named “Urgent Care” Clinic Opens Monday, August 19

UR Medicine | Noyes Health soon will begin offering expanded walk-in clinic hours and services at its East South Street location in Geneseo. Beginning Monday, August 19, doors at the clinic will open seven days a week at 9 a.m., with the last patient being registered at 8:30 p.m. No appointment will be necessary. On-site digital x-ray imaging will be available and bloodwork, if needed, will be initiated.

In addition, the expanded service will change its name from “After Hours” to “Urgent Care.”
“Noyes is responding to the needs of families and patients of all ages in the region for more flexible access to care,” says Noyes Health President and CEO Amy Pollard, “and we hope that the increased convenience of having diagnostic X-ray and lab services on site will lead in the end to better overall outcomes.”
“No one gets sick on a schedule,” says Pauline Shaw, RN, Noyes’ Director of Emergency Services. “Our goal is to get people the help they need when they need it, and then encourage them to follow up with their primary care provider.”

Common conditions to be treated at Noyes Health Urgent Care include abdominal pain, allergic reactions, animal and insect bites, coughs, cuts and minor lacerations, minor burns, upper respiratory infections and colds, headaches and earaches, nausea, sore throats, sports injuries, strains and breaks, urinary tract infections and fevers.

See attached document for some guidelines on when to visit a primary care provider, Urgent Care or the Emergency Department.

UR Medicine | Noyes Health’s “After Hours” service, in the Reilly Building adjacent to Nicholas H. Memorial Hospital in Dansville, will remain Monday to Friday, 5 to 10 p.m., and weekends and holidays 2 to 10 p.m.
