Stewart Family Farms at the Alfred Farmers Market

ALFRED, NY - What are you doing this weekend? This week, on
Sunday 8/18/19, the Alfred Farmers Market will be the place to be for excellent
local food, music, art, and culture. Timothy Updegraph will be the musical
performer from 11 to 1 p.m. and Dave Mason from 1 to 3 p.m. Individuals of all
ages and abilities can join in the fun and be entertained with hands on
educational and hands on activities. The Family Activities tent will feature a
Floating Ball game which is handmade toy utilizing a straw, a cone, and a
lightweight ball. A handcrafted mug made by a local artisan from the Mud Club
will be raffled off as a fundraiser for the market. Don’t miss out on this one of
a kind item! The Alfred Farmers Market wouldn’t exist if not for the dedicated
farmers and artisans that regularly attend. The highlighted vendor of this week
is Purple Hippy from Whitesville. They sell handcrafted soaps, incense, wax
melts and tie dye items. Be sure to
check them, and all of the other producers, out at the market!
The Alfred Farmer’s Market is located at the Alfred Village
Bandstand on the corner of Main and Saxon Drive. Market days are every Sunday
from 11am-3pm from June 16 to October 27th. SNAP/EBT, WIC checks and FMNP
(Farmers Market Nutrition Program) and senior checks are accepted. Meet your
