I-86 Paving Between Exits 34 (Hornell) and Exit 31 (Angelica)
The New York State Department of Transportation today
announced that work will begin on Interstate 86 on June 7, 2018. Work will consist of repairing portions of
the existing pavement, upgrading guiderail, and paving a new wearing
surface. This work is expected to begin
in the westbound lanes on June 7th, with eastbound work to begin approximately
June 18th. The project is expected to be
completed in October 2018.
During construction motorists, will encounter lane closures
with traffic being reduced to single lane traffic during the work day and
overnight. It is imperative that
motorists remember this season to drive carefully through the many highway and
bridge construction zones they will encounter.
