Potter County: Attempted murder case bound to court

Attempted murder charges against a Potter County man have been bound to county court. 21-year-old John Polen IV of Genesee was in district court Monday for a preliminary hearing. Polen is accused of shooting an elderly relative during a dispute earlier this month. He is also charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. After yesterday's hearing, Polen was returned to the Potter County Jail where he is being held without bail. Attempts to reach District Attorney Andy Watson were unsuccessful.
