The Palmer Opera House in Cuba is a vintage theater located
in New York. This historic theater is steeped with rich character and details
of another era. Palmer Opera House was built in 1867, and after a long rich
history fell into disrepair and restoration began in 2006 by the “Cuba Friends
of Architecture”, the nonprofit organization charged with maintaining the
historic venue. Proceeds from this event will benefit the ongoing maintenance

First Annual Singer/Songwriter Festival at The Palmer Event Center in Cuba, N.Y.
Roger Pettengill, Dave Mason, John Gilroy, John Grey, Red
Gray, Beth Gallo, Laura Friday, Gary Landon & Bernard Fancher and the
Palmer have joined forces and are bringing some of the best local singer
songwriters together to take the stage of The Palmer on Sunday, July 8th at
2:00 p.m. to perform approximately two hours of original music. Whether you are young or not so young you will
enjoy great original music from all genres as a group of performers take the
stage and then share in some refreshments during a small intermission while the
next group of artists takes the stage for another hour of musicians vocally
creating their masterpieces. Admission is by donation. Donations will benefit
the ongoing maintenance and improvements at the Palmer Event Center.
