The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of two individuals following an April 11, 2018 traffic stop on North Main Street in the Village of Warsaw.
Colin L. McMurtry, 36 of County Road 27 in Fillmore, was the
driver of a 2005 Buick LeSabre which was stopped on North Main Street near
State Street. During the traffic stop,
McMurtry was arrested for driving with eight active suspensions on his driver’s
license. McMurtry was allegedly found to
be in possession of Methamphetamine following his arrest. A subsequent vehicle search allegedly revealed
components used for manufacturing Methamphetamine in the trunk, and Deputies
said over two ounces of a liquid preparation of Methamphetamine were located
with the laboratory equipment in the trunk.
The liquid was sent to the New York State Police Crime Laboratory for
testing.
On June 20, 2018, an arrest warrant for Colin McMurtry was
executed at his residence, and he was taken into custody. McMurtry was charged with the following:
-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second
Degree – Class A-II Felony
-Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the Third Degree
– Class D Felony
-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh
Degree
-Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree, Third
Degree, and Unlicensed Operator
Colin McMurtry was held in the Wyoming County Jail without
bail.
Lea M. Falcone, 33 of Mills Mills Road in Fillmore, a
passenger in the vehicle, was charged with the following:
-Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the Third Degree
– Class D Felony
Falcone was held in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of
$5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000.00 bond.
Falcone has since posted bond and has been released. Warsaw P.D., NYSP-Warsaw and NYSP CCSERT
(Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team) assisted in the above
investigation.
