Remember the BIG PURPLE TENT at the Farmers’ Market last
season? We’re thrilled to announce that the Family Fun Tent returns this year
beginning Saturday, June 9th, sponsored by the Friends of the Angelica Free
Library. Family Fun Tent activities are free for families with young children.
Families are invited to drop by every week at 10:00 a.m. to
make a simple craft. Themes for this year are Recycling and Gardening. Crafts planned for the 2018 season include:
Clothespin Butterflies, Milk Carton Bird Feeders, Ice Cube Tray Garden, and Egg
Carton Planters.
We’ll have stories read by volunteers, plus each participant
can choose a book to take home to read later. Families who also choose to visit
the Angelica Free Library that day will receive a free “Color-it-Yourself”
bookmark and crayons!
The Family Fun Tent is a delightful family experience on
market Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. excluding Festival days (i.e.
Lavender Festival, Heritage Days, Civil War Weekend.) Bring your lawn chairs and stay for the live
music at the market.
