Tara Lea Pettit: Beloved Daughter, Sister, and Friend
Tara Lea Pettit, 62, of 3621 Fay Hollow Rd., Hinsdale passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at home.
Born on December 1, 1961, in Olean, she was a daughter of Duncan L. and Sylvia J. Tarr Pettit.
Tara attended Bolivar Central School. After high school she worked for several years in Las Vegas. Returning to New York she was employed by Cumberland Farms in Troy working second shift so she could help care for her young nephew while his mother worked. She was last employed as a Supervisor for a Medical Supply Company in Mohawk, New York
Like her father, Tara was a sports enthusiast that enjoyed playing basketball when she was younger and was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres Fan. She also loved listening to and collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia.
In addition to her mother, Sylvia, of Little Genesee, she is survived by
A Brother- Timothy Pettit of Ceres,
A Sister- MaraLynn Powell of Bolivar,
Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, and Uncles and Cousins.
She was predeceased by her father.
Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 S. Main Street, Bolivar, on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon. A Memorial Service will begin in the Funeral Home at Noon. The Rev. David Herne will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, New York.
