Obituary: Betty Brown Hugar, 62, of Grovetown, GA - formerly of Wellsville

Betty Brown Hugar, 62, of Grovetown, GA, passed away peacefully from her short battle with cancer on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Betty was born on Friday, March 23, 1962, in Wellsville, New York, to Randall and Joan McNulty Brown.

She is survived by her loving husband, Albert Hugar Jr., and their children: Jamie Lee (Tripp) Nelson, Albert (Chrissy) Hugar Jr., Dr. Kristina Hugar, and Shawn Hugar. Cherished grandmother to Caleb, Tristan, Evie Lou, Aaron Mathew, and Ethan. Betty is also survived by her father and stepmother, Randall and Marilyn Brown, brother, Randall (Angela) Brown Jr., sister, Cathie Brown and her close friends Bob and Marty France. She is known as favorite Aunt Betty to many family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Joan McNulty Brown; her brother, Mike Brown; and her son, Mathew Stalker.
With a gentle heart and a kind soul, Betty dedicated thirty years of her professional life to Wellsville Dental Associates, where she touched many lives with her warm smile and exceptional care. She retired in 2020 as office manager, and moved to Georgia.
Betty had a passion for gardening and doing crafts with her daughter. She had a deep love for cats that was a constant throughout her life. She enjoyed going on cruises with her husband, Albert, and eagerly looked forward to vacationing and visiting family.
Friends and family will remember Betty for her warmth, her generosity, and her unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Betty’s optimistic outlook on life was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her presence will be greatly missed.
Arrangements have been lovingly provided by Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Betty’s name to any organization for the prevention of cancer.
Rest in peace, Betty Boop. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know you.
