Jamie L. Olmstead “beloved daughter and niece”
WELLSVILLE, NY---Jamie L.
Olmstead, 45, of Wellsville, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Saturday,
September 7, 2024.
Born on Wednesday, July 11, 1979
in Port Allegany, PA, she was a daughter of Fred L. Olmstead and Alta L. Hardes
Manning.
Jamie attended school in
Portville and Bolivar, and graduated from Oswayo Valley High School in
Shinglehouse, PA.
Jamie was formerly employed at
the Olean Medical Group in Olean as Dr. Lahoti’s receptionist. She also worked for Dr. Sheikh in his office
also at the Olean Medical Group. Her last
position was as a nursing assistant at the Highland Park Rehabilitation and
Nursing Center in Wellsville. She had
also worked as a waitress at various area restaurants through the years.
Jamie was a talented artist. She enjoyed riding horses.
Left to cherish her memory are
her mother of Wellsville; a sister, Ruth Mix of Kentucky; and several nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her father, Jamie
was predeceased by a brother, Jackson Manning.
Currently there are no services planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jamie’s name may be made
to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County, 2944 Rte 16, Olean, NY 14760.
Jamie’s family entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury,
funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
