Born on Wednesday, August 25, 1954 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of George N. and Ella Blimline Shenberger.
While residing in Shinglehouse, Betty attended the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals.
Surviving are her son, Donald L. (Jewelie) Land of Lewis Run; four siblings, Alice C. Shenberger of Baltimore, MD, Carl E. (Nishapa) Blimline of New Port News, Virginia, Barbara Morris of Cumberland, MD and Mary T. Atkins of Southern, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by three sisters, Ruthie Hirt, Georgia Finster, and Peggy Stacier.
Family and friends may call from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 12 noon with the Rev. Russell J. Horning, of Shinglehouse, PA, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty’s name may be made to a SPCA of the donor’s choice.
Betty’s son entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
