February 5, 1946 - July 26, 2020
Judith Ann Bailey, 74, of Andover, NY, passed away on
Sunday, July 26th, 2020 after a lengthily illness, at the home of her Daughter
in Holly Ridge, NC.
Judy was born on February 5th, 1946 to Stephen and Delores
Clarke of Independence, NY. She graduated from Andover Central School in 1964
and from Olean Business Institute with her degree in Business.
Judy married Paul Bailey of Wellsville, NY on August 17th
1968 at the Independence 7th Day Baptist Church. They have three children,
George T. Bailey of Andover, NY, Cheri L. (Richard) Kornaker Jr of Holly Ridge
NC, and Jeremy P. Bailey of Jacksonville, NC. 8 grandchildren, Christopher,
Thomas, Beth, Crystal, Brittany, Rebecca, Robert and November. She also has 7
great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Samuel (Lori) Clarke of
Wellsville, NY and a sister Norma (Floyd) Drake of Independence, NY. A sister
in law Sharon Clarke of Mariposa, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Judy worked at FHA where she was a loan administrator. She
retired after 30+ years. Judy was a member of Andover Christian Missionary
Alliance Church in Andover NY. Her church family was a very important part of
her life. Judy enjoyed camping and fishing, when she was able, she went to Deer
Run campground with her family and The Sootheran Family.
Our family would like to send Thank You’s to some very
special friends: Ella, Gail, Barb, and Karen. Judy was beautiful, and
kindhearted, she always had a shoulder to lean on. She will be truly missed.
Judy was predeceased by her husband Paul Bailey of 52yrs.
Her parents Stephen and Delores Clarke. Her brother Robert Clarke and a sister
in law Deanna Clarke.
At this time there will be no services. A celebration of
life is being planned for June 12, 2021 as most family is out of state.
