CANISTEO - Kathleen M. “Kay” McKibben, 94, formerly of Walnut Street, passed away Tuesday (September 22, 2020) at St James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, April 28, 1926, the daughter of Glenn and Agnes Binkey Stiles, she had resided in Canisteo all her life. Kay was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1944, and had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Totten’s Grocery, Scott’s Dairy Bar, and in the meat department at the former Big “M” Grocery Store in Canisteo. Kay will be fondly remembered as the “Lady who walked her little dog in Canisteo”.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; E. Raymond McKibben in 2006, her son; Steven McKibben, her sister; Doris Ordway and her brother; Basil Stiles.
She is survived by her daughters; Trudi Cline of Canisteo, and Lynn (LaVerne) Neu of Hornell, her son; Scott McKibben of Hornell, 11 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. The family will be observing a private funeral service at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Canisteo. Deacon Robert McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
