Caneadea man arrested after vehicle chase in Wyoming County

31-year-old Alva C. Rinker, Jr. was arrested Thursday and faces multiple charges following a traffic stop on Truesdell Road in the Town of Warsaw.  Rinker, of Caneadea, and also staying at a residence in the Village of Warsaw, was driving a 2004 Nissan pickup truck color white southbound on Liberty Street in the Village of Warsaw.  Rinker was known to operate the vehicle and to have a suspended NYS identification card, and when Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies turned around to pursue Rinker, he increased in speed fleeing southbound onto Truesdell Road.  Rinker pulled his vehicle into an unfamiliar residence on Truesdell Road, abruptly parked his vehicle, and fled on foot into a corn field.  A subsequent search of the area led to Rinker being apprehended by a New York State Trooper as Rinker was running north on South Main Street in the Village of Warsaw.  Rinker was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, Unlicensed Operation, and Inadequate Muffler.  Rinker was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charges in the Town of Warsaw Court on October 5, 2020.
