South Wales man sent to prison for driving stolen car in Allegany County village of Bolivar

A South Wales man is headed to state prison for possessing a stolen 2008 Chevy Cruze and driving it with suspended license. The crime happened April 26th in the village of Bolivar. Allegany County Judge Terrance Parker this morning sentenced Mitchell Smith, 24, to serve 2 1/2 - 5 years in prison. He must also pay a $325 court surcharge and DNA fee. Mitchell pleaded guilty to criminal possession of stolen property, a class D felony. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney J. Thomas Fuoco. Smith was represented by J.R. Santana Carter, Assistant Public Defender.
