Police charged Dakota M. Jones, age 22, of Wellsville, NY, with speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right, leave scene of property damage accident, and improper plates, following a motor vehicle accident on Cryder Creek Road in the Town of Independence. Jones was allegedly traveling north bound at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to lose control. The vehicle crossed over the south bound lane, leaving the west shoulder of the roadway striking a DOT marker then skidding uncontrolled into a corn field. Jones is due in the Town of Independence Court on September 4, 2019 at 5:00 pm.
