I have been granted a Partner account in Here.com’s ‘Map Creator Account’ tool. My map edits will be given highest weight in reliability. Therefore, they will only be reviewed for typographical and similar errors. These edits will be incorporated into Here.com products.
Here captures location content such as road networks, buildings, parks and traffic patterns. It then sells or licenses that mapping content, along with navigation services and location solutions to other businesses such as Alpine, Garmin, BMW, Bing, Oracle and Amazon.com, Microsoft and many others. In addition, Here provides platform services to smartphones. It provides location services through its own Here applications, and also for GIS and government clients and other providers, such as Bing, Facebook and Yahoo! Maps. The company is also working on self-driving technology.
I’ve met with Reiss Country Properties and have their cooperation in naming and enumerating the roads on their properties. These will be done on a case-by-case basis as new requests come in for existing properties or as new properties are developed. It isn’t practical to enumerate all of these roads immediately due to time constraints for them and us.
Town-wide enumeration check-up is in progress for the Town of Wirt.
The town of Belfast has requested that we perform their enumeration tasks in the Hamlet. The previous, formal, agreement only covered everything outside the Hamlet. I have completed the task that triggered this request as a short-term
solution but a formal resolution should follow for the long-term.
