Brandon M. Youngs “beloved son, brother, and uncle”
CERES, N.Y.- Brandon M. Youngs, 34, of Ceres, N.Y., passed
away with his loving family by his side on Monday, June 4, 2018, in the Cuba
Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Cuba, after a courageous battle with
cancer. Born on November 2, 1983 in Coudersport, Pa., he was a son of Clyde K.
Jr. and Laurie Green Youngs.
Brandon was a graduate of Bolivar-Richburg Central School in
Bolivar. He was first employed by Blue
Bird Bus Company in Olean, then by I.A. Construction in Portville as a loader
operator, and lastly as a lab tech by Glenn O. Hawbaker in Shinglehouse, until
retiring due to ill health.
Brandon was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at
the Shinglehouse American Legion Post 530 and was a past member of the
Shinglehouse Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a member of the Layed Back Luxuries Car Club. His greatest love was his entire family and
his friends.
Surviving besides his parents of Ceres are a sister, Heather
M. Youngs of Ceres; his beloved nephew, Bentley Youngs; his maternal
grandfather, Delmar G. Green of Shinglehouse; and many aunts, uncles, cousins
and friends.
Brandon was predeceased by his paternal grandparents and his
maternal grandmother.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from
10 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 8, 2018, at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home,
118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, Pa., where funeral services will follow
at noon with Pastor Ben Ramirez of Faith Bible Church, Little Genesee,
officiating. Burial will be in Bowler
Memorial Cemetery, Little Genesee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of
the donor’s choice.
Brandon’s family has entrusted his care to Kevin J.
Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home,
Shinglehouse.
