Tioga County, PA: 90 year old struck, killed by vehicle

Pennsylvania state police investigated a deadly vehicle-pedestrian accident in Charleston Township, Tioga County. Troopers were called at 12:13 p.m. Thursday for the incident along Route 6. According to a public information release, an unnamed 70-year-old Wellsboro woman was driving east on Route 6, when 90-year-old Bernice Gruzlewski of Mansfield walked in front of her. The driver attempted to avoid the pedestrian but was not successful. Gruzlewski was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed.
