Livingston County District Attorney report

After presentation by Gregory J. McCaffrey, District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Dennis S. Cohen on May 17, 2018.

SCOTT A. CASTLE, age 36, of Manchester pled guilty to Attempted Rape in the First Degree (C Felony) and the matter was adjourned to May 31, 2018 for sentencing.

WAYNE C. ENGLERT, age 58, of Dansville, charged with Sex Offender Failure to Register or Verify (E Felony) appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to June 14, 2018.

CHARLES F. HYDE, III., age 19, of Conesus appeared on a violation of probation and the matter was adjourned to May 18, 2018.

MOHAMED MOHAMUD, age 27, of Buffalo was sentenced on a conviction of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in Fourth Degree (Misdemeanor) to 57 days incarceration (time served) and 3 years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $200 surcharge and a $50 DNA fee.

DENNY OLMEDA, age 42, formerly of the Livingston Correctional Facility, charged with Aggravated Harassment of Employee by Inmate (E Felony), appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to June 27, 2018 for hearings.

EUGENE N. SMITH, age 69, of Rochester, charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree (E Felony), Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to May 31, 2018.

JEFREY S. TERRY, age 36, of Nunda pled guilty to Driving While Intoxicated (D Felony) and the matter was adjourned to July 26, 2018 for sentencing. He was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail.
