WELLSVILLE — It wasn’t a bird.
It wasn’t a plane, exactly.
It certainly wasn’t an interstellar traveler crashing into a rural field, like the (alleged) UFO accident outside Roswell, New Mexico.
It was Rob Tarnoczy, of Corning.
Tarnoczy made an emergency landing in an alfalfa field off Route 417 Wednesday afternoon, safely bringing his glider to rest between Wellsville and Andover.
“Ran out of altitude, ran out of luck,” Tarnoczy said. “When that happens, rather than let the trees pick, you pick a field and land.” Regional Editor Chris Potter has the whole story HERE.
