Allegany Arc announces the winners from their 5K Raffle Run/

of Allegany Arc’s 5k Raffle Run/Walk
Allegany Arc is excited to announce the winners from their 5K Raffle Run/Walk which was held Saturday, May 19, 2018. The overall winner was Corey Mitchell from Silver Springs, NY. 2nd place was Susan Hill of Wellsville, NY and 3rd place was Gavan Shutt of Wellsville, NY. The top three finishers each received a cash prize.



“We changed things up a bit this year,” said Heather Perkins, event chairperson. “We added a raffle/prize element to the race. Prizes were randomly attached to finish line crosses. If you finished in a designated prize slot, you won.”

The 5k participants who took home a raffle prize were Sheila Sorenson, Jim Howe, Corinna McKnight, Eric Burton, Kendra Lanphier, Jessica Woodworth, Kelly Cumpston, Courtney Cole, Richard Warner, Jamie Forness, Sierrah Ruhl, Rhonda Golish, Jennifer Schultze, Debra Salmonson and Sharon Haney.
All 5k participants were entered into a drawing for $100 after the race; Barbara Skinner was selected as the Grand Prize winner.

Perkins added, “We are so thankful for the amazing amount of support we have received from not only sponsors for the event but also people who participated and volunteered to make the event a success.”
Proceeds from the Community 5K Run/Walk benefit Allegany Arc’s Witkowski Development Project. The Witkowski Development Project located at 2718 Andover Road in Wellsville will be an inclusive outdoor recreation center for individuals served by Allegany Arc and the greater Wellsville community.
