Arkport - Kevin J. Graves, 62, of 1290 Willey Road, passed away Monday (May 14, 2018) at St. James Mercy Hospital.
Born in North Hornell, July 3, 1955, the son of Frank Graves and Bette (Little) Slocum, he was a lifelong area resident. Kevin was previously employed at Stony Brook State Park in Dansville as a groundskeeper. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Kevin also enjoyed music, and exploring Native American Culture.
He was predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers Donald and Tommy Graves.
He is survived by his wife Doraine Austin Graves of whom he married on November 7, 2011 his children Jennifer (Mark) VanOrsdale of Wayland, Angel (Chris Ciasullo) Graves of Hornell, Chett (Melissa) Graves of Canisteo, and Elizabeth Walker of Dansville, step daughter Lisa Lolley of Arkport, step son Jeffrey Walsh of Arkport, sister Sherry (Joseph) Miletti of Almond, brother Gary (Sherri) Graves of Las Vegas, uncle James (Linda) Little of Castile, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren several nieces, nephews, and his dog Sadi.
The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday (May 16, 2018) from 1-3pm and 5-7pm, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7:00pm. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery.
