FRIENDSHIP- Ann Wereley passed away on May 7, 2018 at the
Absolut Care facility in Allegany. Ann was born in Buffalo on November 25, 1930
to Marion Ehrhardt Ackerman of Warren, Pa. and Harold Ackerman of Belmont.
She graduated from Kenmore West High School and later
graduated from Buffalo State with her teaching degree.
In 1950 in Buffalo, she married William Little. After moving
to Friendship, she married Gordon “Bud” Wereley in 1972.
Ann was active in the Boy Scouts, Friendship United
Methodist Church, the Red Hats, the Friendship Auxiliary and other local
groups. She owned “Anntiques” shops in Friendship and traveled around the
country, buying and selling antiques.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Jean Berning
of Tacoma, Wash.; a daughter, Jeryl Little Roberts Stuck; and a granddaughter,
Jean Ann Mahoney.
She is survived by her brother, Philip (Nan) Ackerman of
Orchard Park; her children, Janet Mahoney, David Wereley, Becky Wereley
Webster, James Little, Beth Wereley Burdick and Jennifer Little Vogel; along
with nine grandchildren; Kurt Roberts, Shawn Mahoney, Lisa Roberts Stramonine,
Josh Roberts, Emily Little, Abigail Little, Olivia Little, Makenna Vogel, Bobby
Webster and seven great grandchildren.
Ann donated her body to the University of Buffalo Medical
Center.
There will be a casual gathering to celebrate her life at
the First Methodist Church of Friendship on Thursday, May 17 from 5-7 p.m.
Services will be held at the Church Friday, May 18th at 11a.m. Rev. Clara Wilder will officiate. Memorials
may be made to the Church or the Friendship Free Library.
