Cuba: Don’t Miss the “Pawty” at Joyful Rescues & Help Adoptable Pets in Need

Cuba, NY ─ Joyful Rescues, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that matches adoptable dogs and cats with loving homes is hosting its annual PetFest from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both Friday, August 4 and Saturday, August 5 at Joyful Rescues at 1319 Turock Drive off Jollytown Road in Cuba, New York.
The event includes opportunities to meet Joyful Rescues adoptable dogs and cats who await their “furever” homes, tours, and great food with vegetarian options available for purchase.  Come find a treasure at the basket raffle or the yard sale featuring kitchen and household items, toys, tools, home and seasonal decor, gently used or new pet supplies including crates, clothing other accessories and larger items.
On August 5, tours of Joyful Rescues facility, eight-acre property and a self-guided pond tour will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. parade and a perfectly imperfect dog show at 2:30. New this year, the band “Sticktights” will be performing background music between 11:30 – 2:30 and David Louis, Animal Communicator from “Talk to your Animals”, will be on site.
Admission to this family-friendly event is FREE and pets on leash are welcome, as are all former Joyful Rescues alumni. Monetary donations and donations of leashes, collars, toys and food are also gratefully accepted along with cash donations for our "Gizzie's KISS IT BETTER Fund" for the animals we help who need critical medical care. All event proceeds benefit Joyful Rescues and help us continue to save homeless animals.
Event sponsors this year include Original Field Roast Grain Meat Company, Dina’s, Tops and Williams Restoration Construction Company.
All adoptable pets are featured on our website site at www.joyfulrescues.org  and on the Joyful Rescues Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/joyfulrescues. An online adoption application is available which all adopters (must be 25 years of age) must complete in order to be considered.
Joyful Rescues is in its fifteen years of operation and rehomes dogs and cats of all ages from regional shelters, high-kill shelters in the southern United States, former “puppy mill dogs”, as well as dogs and cats who are surrendered to the organization from former owners who can no longer care for them.    A tireless group of volunteers and rescue staff work to match dogs and cats with their “furever families,” promote spay/neuter programs, and reduce euthanasia rates in high-kill shelters by transporting adoptable animals to Joyful Rescues.
