Belfast--- Debra Jean Pomeroy of 26 South Street and a
former resident of Rushford, died Saturday August 19, 2017 in her home. She was
born on August 10, 1955 in Olean, a daughter of the late Sherwood and Norma
Kellogg Pomeroy.
Deb was the oldest of three children and has spent her life
living and working in New York and Pennsylvania. She worked as a fuel clerk for
TA (Truck stops of America), office worker and manager of the truck stop in
Belvidere and as a secretary at the former Cuba-Rushford Central School,
Rushford elementary campus.
She loved spending time with her family. She was an avid
quilter and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the
Rawson Baptist Church.
Surviving are her brother, Lynn (Brenda) Pomeroy and Audrey
(Jay) Wolfer, both of Rushford, six nieces and nephews and nine great nieces
and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home 21 N. Genesee
Street, Fillmore. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral
home. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Rushford.
