Scio Man Arrested in Mt. Morris for impaired driving, drug possession

On Saturday at 7:55 p.m., State Police from SP Geneseo responded to the Letchworth Country Store at 3279 Mount Morris Geneseo Road, town of Mount Morris, for a vehicle and traffic complaint.  The complainant reported a possible intoxicated driver that operated a Nissan Altima.  Troopers located the driver at the convenience store.  Further investigation revealed that the operator, identified as Justin M. Learn, age 21, from the town of Scio, was allegedly impaired by heroin.  A vehicle search was also conducted and a clear plastic bag allegedly containing approximately 1 gram of heroin was seized.  Learn was taken into custody and a State Police drug recognition expert responded to conduct an evaluation.  Learn was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  He was arraigned before the Leicester Town Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $500 cash or $1,000 bond.  Learn is scheduled to appear before the Mount Morris Town Court on 09/11/2017 at 4:00 p.m.
