Alice M. Hoffman “beloved mother and grandmother”
COUDERSPORT, PA---Alice M. Hoffman, 81, a lifelong resident
of Coudersport, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Sweden Valley
Manor, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on August 14, 1935 in Ulysses, she was a daughter of
Fred and Florence Duell. On July 8, 1961
in Coudersport, she married James A. Hoffman, who passed away on December 10,
2005.
Alice attended the Coudersport Free Methodist Church and was
a life member of the former Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department Ladies
Auxiliary. Alice was a very friendly and
caring soul who enjoyed many days walking and visiting with her many friends in
Coudersport. She was a “fixture” every
morning at the former Maple Tree Restaurant.
Surviving are a son, Donald E. Hoffman of Coudersport; a
daughter, Lisa K. Hoffman of Coudersport; and a brother, Fred Duell; several
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by a son,
Larry Hoffman; a brother, Irvin Duell; and two sisters, Hazel Duell and Toni
Ludwig.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, March 3,
2017 at the Coudersport Free Methodist Church 1237 East Second Street,
Coudersport, where funeral services will follow at noon with the Rev. Peter J.
Tremblay, pastor, officiating. Burial
will be in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.

Alice’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L.
