BASED UPON CURRENT FORECASTS AND CONDITIONS, THE ALLEGANY
COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THE ALLEGANY COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
RECOMMENDS NO-UNNECESSARY TRAVEL. THIS IS NOT A TRAVEL BAN, BUT A RECOMMENDED
TRAVEL ADVISORY. THIS TRAVEL ADVISORY
WILL ALLOW PLOW CREWS TIME TO CLEAR ROADS.
IN ADDITION, GOVERNOR ANDREW M. CUOMO HAS DECLARED A STATE
OF EMERGENCY THROUGHOUT NEW YORK STATE.
THIS STATE OF EMERGENCY WILL ALLOW THE COUNTY TO ACCESS STATE RESOURCES
IF NEEDED, BUT IT IS ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME, THAT THE COUNTY, TOWN AND
VILLAGE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENTS WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN OUR SNOW REMOVAL EFFORTS.
THERE IS NO LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY, ISSUED FOR ANY
JURISDICTION IN ALLEGANY COUNTY AT THIS TIME.
