You are cordially invited to attend the Samuel R. Scholes lecture presented by Dr. John C. Mauro ’01 ’06. The lecture will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11:20 am in Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall. Lunch will follow in the Knight Club, Powell Campus Center. Dr. John C. Mauro is the Dorothy Pate Enright Professor and Associate Head for Graduate Education in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University and an alumnus of Alfred University earning his Ph.D. in Glass Science at AU in 2006. Dr. Mauro has worked in education, research, and development and is an inventor, editor, and author. The title of Dr. Mauro’s lecture is There and Back Again: A Journey in Glass. |
